A favourite and unique weeping ash tree at Taraloka collapsed in the extreme heat of our summer this year. The trunk split half way up, twisted and dropped, sweeping the ground as it went. Dan, a talented tree surgeon, did a fabulous job in retaining the remainder to continue to bring shelter and shade to numerous insects, birds and humans – and I had some fun working in various ways with the felled branches.
